The basis of this graphic comes from the symbol of paradise. The Great Depression was a hard time for many people, and made many lives change forever. This book shows us that even throughout the hard times, happiness and paradise can still be achieved. Lennie gets so much joy from things that are soft, something that is out of the ordinary to want in the depression. He's then given a pup by Slim, and he's happiness is brought to life. This is what we wanted to show in our graphic. The quote comes from the character of Albus Dumbledore, a headmaster in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
